At Wylderwoods Lighting & Design, every project begins with connection...to people, their Companions, & the spaces they inhabit. We believe spaces are more than walls & furnishings; they shape comfort, predictability, & relationships.
Our design approach considers layout, light, materials, & sensory cues to create environments where nervous systems can regulate, comfort can flourish, & connections are supported.
Whether designing a home, office, shelter, clinic, or restaurant, our goal is the same: to create interiors that are functional, beautiful, & emotionally intelligent.
At Wylderwoods Lighting & Design, every project begins with people & the way they live, because interiors are not static backdrops but environments that shape how we feel, function & relate to one another over time.
Lighting leads our process, defining layout, shaping mood & guiding movement in ways that often go unnoticed, yet are deeply felt. Through considered layout, materiality & sensory balance, we illuminate spaces that inspire comfort, connection & purpose, ensuring that beauty is never separate from function & atmosphere is never at odds with clarity.
Our work spans residential, commercial & rural interiors, each approached with emotional intelligence & technical rigour so that daily life feels easier, calmer & more intuitive. Where relevant, we also consider the needs of petss within the space, integrating them naturally rather than as an afterthought.
The result is design that reduces friction, supports relationships & endures well beyond first impressions.
Home has always been about more than rooms... it is a feeling shaped by light, rhythm, & the natural world. The way sunlight filters through trees, the scent of rain, & the calm that comes from spaces that feel alive yet effortless. Growing up in Northern BC, the forest and seasons guided our days, teaching awareness, observation, & a sense of belonging.
That foundation led me to explore how environment shapes behaviour, wellbeing, & relationships. After years working with canines in humane societies & animal shelters, observing how layout, light & sensory conditions shape stress & wellbeing, I returned to school for interior design as a way to create environments that truly respond to the people & pets who inhabit them.
At Wylderwoods Lighting & Design, that story guides every project. I aim to craft spaces where people feel seen, supported, & at ease; where comfort, connection, & purpose are built into every corner.
