Our design approach combines human-centred principles with companion-focused insights. We consider layout, light, materials, & sensory cues to create environments where nervous systems can regulate, comfort can flourish, & connections between humans & Companions are supported.

Whether designing a home, shelter, clinic, or commercial space, our goal is the same: to create interiors that are functional, beautiful, & emotionally intelligent. Every detail is considered, ensuring spaces are calming, purposeful, & restorative for everyone who uses them.

Home, for me, has always been about more than rooms...it is a feeling that begins in the natural world: the way light filters through trees, the scent of rain, & the quiet presence of a Companion resting beside you. Growing up in Northern BC, the forest & seasons guided our days, teaching awareness, rhythm, & presence. Animals around me became my first teachers, modelling connection, observation, & belonging.

That foundation led me to spend 15 years working directly with canines, through animal control, my own dog walking & training business, & as a Canine Behaviourist at one of Canada’s largest humane societies. Through this, I learned how environment shapes behaviour, wellbeing, & relationships. After stepping back due to compassion fatigue, I returned to schooling for interior design, discovering a way to heal, create, & bring everything I had learned from animals into the spaces I design for Humans & their Companions alike.

At Wylderwoods Lighting & Design, that story guides every project. I aim to create spaces where Humans & their Companions can feel safe, supported, & at ease; where connection, comfort, & purpose are built into every corner.
